When booting up the morning after, the video issue was back and - big surprise - GeForce now told me the same patch was available (it had for some reason been reverted). Later (hours at least, could be more), I shut down for the day. Said and done, I closed GeForce Experience. Nothing strange happened during the installation, and Nvidia told me my drivers were up to date when it was finished. I installed it using default/standard installation, as usual. Upon opening GeForce Experience, I saw that there was a new driver available: The film was suddenly all pixly and square-filled, so I checked if my drivers were still up to date. I first noticed this upon playing a HD video file in VLC, the day after I updated.

    So I've been experiencing this rather odd issue for a few days now: my Nvidia GeForce graphics driver keeps reverting back to the old one after installation.
